SAS.Planet - raster online map downloading and converting
Let me introduce this good and free software: SAS.Planet from SASGIS.org
This program will allow you to view, download (as a file cash) and convert several on-line maps (i.e. Google Map, Google Sat, HERE.com, Yandex, OSM, etc.).
Yes, it is good alternative for MOBAC.
Yes, you can add more web map sources (unfortunately it is uncompatible to MOBAC).
Yes, you can convert downloaded pieces of maps into Magellan RMP format.
You can download a latest stable release here http://www.sasgis.org/download/
Some additional source files for other web maps can be found here: http://xt.ht/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=161068 and at official forum http://www.sasgis.org/forum/
How to use
1. Select online map source from main Menu or toolbar
2. Zoom and move to desired place
3. Draw a borders of desired place (main Menu - Operations - Selection Manager - Rectangular Selection or use a button at toolbar).
4. Download tiles for selected place and zoom level(s). Click on Download tab at pop-up menu and select map source and zoom levels. Note: zoom level scale numbers are different from MOBAC zoom scale.
5. Choose that selection again (main Menu - Operations - Selection Manager - Last Selection or just press Ctrl-b shortcut)
6. Convert this piece of map into RMP. Click on Export tab at pop-up menu and select "RMP raster map for Magellan". Select map source, choose a name for RMP file, zoom level (or several levels). You can also write "Product" and "Provider" parameters. You will see provider's name at map selection menu in your GPS device, and several maps with same "Product" will be grouped together (in eXplorist GPS).
Note: all tiles you want to convert for desired location and zoom levels must be previously downloaded. If not, you will get en empty space at the RMP map file.

To download files you should right-click on download links and choose "Save as..." from drop-down menu.
Note: If you want to change interface language, you should click "Settings" (Параметры) in the main menu, then click "Language" and select "English" or other. Sorry, but there is no German language yet.

Re: SAS.Planet - raster online map downloading and convertin
Note: Please, do not make very big maps. I mean "big piece of territory at detailed zoom levels". Because
1) downloading big amount of tiles will couse tile-server overload. And a hoster fo tile-server may deny access or even stop it's service
2) you will get a very big files and it will be impossible to upload it to GPS device because there will be not enough space on internal flash disk or SD card.
Here is an example map made using SASplanet.
https://cloud.mail.ru/public/K94G/VhWSvnobR
It is old Soviet military map of Berlin.

Download it, unpack it and copy unpacked "_water" folder to SASPlanet\Maps\sas.plus.maps folder replacing old files.

Unfortunately, some tile servers may be down in the future or may change their settings or URL. In this case you should update corresponding zmp files from SASGIS site or forum. Or you also can edit zmp files manually if you are experienced PC user (or "hacker").

Meine Frage:
muss Ich erstmal einen zoomlevel laden(загрузить) und danach es als eine RMP Karte exportieren(создать) ?

Yes. You must download all tiles of desired territory and desired zoom levels before creating RMP file.
I advise you to select some even levels (12, 14, 16) or odd levels (11, 13, 15, 17) because web map zoom levels set is not 100% compatible with Magellan zoom levels set.

not kilometers but megabytes. You will see an estimated size of data to be downloaded when you select area, source and zoom levels and start downloading. Was meinst Du "big" ? km x km ?

You do not need to connect your Triton to SASplanet.
You can create RMP map file on your HDD, then open this file in VantagePoint and send this map to your Triton using VantagePoint.
