Just open a PDF file (Menu - File - Open) and make export operation (Menu - File - export - to image). Choose format "PNG image" and resolution 300 dpi.

What size of your map in megabytes?
What size of all files at the internal memory?
Are your maps stored at internal memory? Try to use micro-SD flash memory card for your maps.

NOTE: There may be a disk error, when Windows report wrong free disc space value.
