Hello Dimonster2,
the maps are good enough for us, because
a) we can plan a flight route easier than with the former ones
b) we can forecast the route quite simply. Sometime we are flighing 250 km/h and so the former maps brought us the restricted areas too fast on T2000 screen (screen is smaler than on the computer screen). With the higher scales we can follow the flight route on T2000 better due to the overview and we can avoid hidding restricted areas easier.
c) we can zoom to a lower level when we want to read something on T2000. Please consider that we cannot use the flight maps as a navigation support due to legal reasons. We have the ICAO map with us also and so we do not need to zoom to a lower level at any time.

But the maps are great. :thumbup :thumbup :thumbup :thumbup :thumbup

Thanks so much for your help. :D :D :D :D :D

Best regards

Piloti and collegeues.

Hi. As I can see now, there are GeoTIFF files available for downloads from http://openflightmaps.org
I shall try to open it in GlobalMapper and convert to Magellan RMP format using Antalos RMPCreator.

When I trying to open this GeoTIFF files in GlobalMapper, all this maps moved to zero coordinates.
There are also lies some .xml files, but I don't know what to do with them.

Please let me know if you need further info/support from me.

Best regards.

The "geo" metadata information inside the GeoTIFF files is incorrect.
The OFM team already know about this problem. But they do not know how to find the mistake. :-(
They use GDAL for GeoTIFF conversion. May be something wrong with GDAL config files.
