Hallo Leute,

bin jetzt seit einiger Zeit mit dem Smartphone am cachen und habe mir nun ein gebrauchtes explorist GC zugelegt.
Hab im Internet bisschen rumgeschaut wegen den einstellungen etc. und nun läuft es eig. auch ganz gut.
Nun meine Frage: WO kann ich die Koordinaten von meinem eigenen Standort sehen? Muss ich dafür extra einen Wegpunkt mit dem aktuellen Ort erstellen?

Go to the "Map" screen. Press "Menu". Select "Edit Nav Fields". Select "Pri. Coordinates" for one of the nav fields.
(do not forget to check Coordinate System settings. It should be "Lat/Lon", "WGS84".

By the way. What the version of currently installed firmware? I advice you to update your firmware to 1.7 (if current version number is below 1.7) and then update to ver. 2.15 and then you can change the firmware to hacked version of eXplorist 310 firmware.

This will add more functions to your GPS device. The most valuable functions is:
- detailed vector maps support (i.e. from maps4me.net)
- raster maps support. You can make your own raster maps (from Google map, satellite imagery, etc.)

And this PC software will also helpful:
1) VantagePoint. This is free standart official Magellan software to manage maps, waypints, routes, tracks and geacashes
